HALLOWEEN, OCTOBER 31, 2006

We started our morning at the TV station, and made yet another appearance on "Good Things Utah". Mom and I loved seeing all of the children in costume. Stefie loved being around all the other children, and she really loved one of the "Care Bears". After the show we went home for Stefanie to have a quick nap.

Early this evening we took Stefie to the South Towne Center Shopping Mall, making an attempt to let Stefie trick or treat. Stefie started off quite well, but then things quickly changed when suddenly kids started to push Stefie out of the way, and she began to get trampled. Things quickly went down from there. Stefanie insisted I hold her the entire time and we did our best to take photos, and walk the first floor. The mall became so crowded, we decided it was best to leave. We spent the rest of the evening handing out candy. The highlight of Stefanie's evening seemed to be putting small pieces of wrapped candy inside an empty candy box.

TRICK OR TREAT STREET, OCTOBER 27, 2006

A new way to Trick or Treat,"Trick or Treat Street" an event
held indoors at the Convention Center. Pay and go from door
to door along with hundreds of other parents and children.

My mom Rosie came for a week to visit, and she has not seen Stefanie since June. We took Mom to Gardner Village for lunch, shopping and time to enjoy all the fall witches and pumpkins.
Grandpa (my father) stayed home to take care of the family pets and was unable to come for a visit.

STEFANIE MEETS BARNEY!

Today, October 24, 2006 was a big day for Stefanie. She had the opportunity to meet Barney and his new pal Riff before going on Good Things Utah. Stefanie was absolutely amazed by Barney and her reaction surprised us. We all had a really good laugh and she absolutely could not take her eyes off Barney. Stefanie went on camera once again, but this time this was a really special moment for her. It was great to see Stefie have some private one on one time with Barney and Riff. PUMPKINS, PUMPKINS AND PUMPKINS

Yesterday, Jon, Theresa and I took Stefanie to pick pumpkins for the first time. Stefanie absolutely loves pumpkins almost as much as I do. She loved running and putting her favorites in the cart. We took lots of photos and ran through a maze. What fun!

WITCHES LADIES NIGHT OUT, OCTOBER 21, 2006

Theresa and I thought it would be fun to attend the Gardner Village Ladies Night Out, the theme was Witches. Everyone was to bring a girlfriend and either wear a witches hat or go all out and dress in costume. The night was full of activities of music, food, contests, and of course loads of shopping. They had fortune tellers, and story tellers, etc. When Gardner Village said, "You have never seen so many Witches", they were not kidding. I had no idea! This was the sixth annual event. The costumes were so elaborate and some absolutely beautiful!

Unfortunately, the photos I took at the event did not come out. Jon has now taught me how to use the camera at night. We had a great time with a lot of laughs, great food and fun shopping for Stefie. My friend Megan and my cousin Chrissy were to attend with us, but were not able to make it after all. Here's a few photos from our evening before we left the house.

CORNBELLY'S FESTIVAL, OCTOBER 21, 2006

Jon and I thought it would be nice to take Stefanie to Cornbelly's Halloween/October Festival. We all had a lot of fun. Stefanie met a Robot who was handing out halloween candy, Mickey Mouse and Piglet. We took her on a few rides, we went into a haunted Dinosaur, (for kids), watched pot belly pig races, and then went to lunch afterwards. We thought we would go to the pumpkin patch, but it turned out to be pumpkins already cut off the vine. We will try to do the pumpkin patch tomorrow. Here are photos from today.
